Grilled Cheese for a Good Cause

Enjoy gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, soup, and desserts made by local chefs, plus local beer, wine, and sweet or sparkling non-alcoholic cider. This event, part of Cooperstown Winter Carnival, is a fun and delicious way to support the year-round Cooperstown Farmers’ Market.

(Update: As of 1/29/25, Grilled Cheese for a Good Cause is now sold out. We appreciate the enthusiastic response to support the Cooperstown Farmers’ Market and to celebrate the talent of local chefs!)

Local chefs participating include: Tim Searles of Doubleday Café, Brian Wrubleski of Mel’s at 22, Jesse Pascale of Rock Hill Farm, Michelle Iannelli-Rubin of Social Eats Café, Dasang Gurung of Norbu, Peter Calhoun of the Otesaga, Anthony Leberto of Brimstone Bakery, Julio Rubio of the Lakehouse 1843, Dan Wisnosky of the Elm Inn, Josh Rumberger of the Tryon Inn, Chloe Ford of Chloe’s Bakeshop, Pam DiLiberto of By the Handful, and Alex Webster, the Farmers’ Market manager who also runs Alex’s World Picnic. Gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches will be made with Painted Goat Farm Chèvre, Mountain View Dairy Swiss and Camembert, Byebrook Farm Gouda, Harpersfield Farmstead Tilsit, Spurbeck’s Cheddar, Trollbok Farm Hushallsost, and other local cheeses. Heidelberg Bread is generously donating loaves for the sandwiches.

TICKETS
Your ticket includes a selection of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches featuring local cheeses, fabulous chef-made soups and desserts, and a complimentary beverage (beer, wine, or cider).

Tickets are $35 for adults, $15 for children 6-12 years old. No charge for children under 6.
All proceeds benefit the Cooperstown Farmers’ Market, which is open year-round on Saturdays.
